UIPM Pentathlon Junior World Championships Day 2

The UIPM Pentathlon Junior World Championships in Alexandria, Egypt, continued with an action-packed Women’s Qualification Day on Wednesday, June 26, 2024. The day was divided into two qualification groups, “A” and “B,” each showcasing the competitors’ skills across four challenging disciplines: Obstacle, Fencing, Swimming, and Laser Run.

Qualification “A” Schedule

08:30 – Obstacle
The day started early for Qualification “A” with the Obstacle event at 08:30. Athletes demonstrated their agility and speed as they navigated through a series of demanding obstacles, setting the tone for a day of intense competition.

10:30 – Fencing
Following the Obstacle course, the competitors moved on to Fencing at 10:30. This event tested their precision, strategy, and endurance, with each athlete aiming to outscore their opponents in this classic pentathlon discipline.

15:00 – Swimming
In the afternoon, the focus shifted to Swimming at 15:00. Competitors showcased their stamina and technique in the pool, aiming for the fastest times to gain crucial points.

17:30 – Laser Run
The day concluded with the Laser Run at 17:30, a combination of running and laser pistol shooting. This final event required both physical endurance and steady focus, bringing an exciting end to Qualification “A.”

Qualification “B” Schedule

10:00 – Obstacle
Qualification “B” began at 10:00 with the Obstacle event. Competitors tackled the challenging course, displaying their physical prowess and agility.

12:30 – Swimming
The Swimming event for Qualification “B” followed at 12:30. Athletes swam against the clock, aiming to achieve the best possible times and secure their positions.

15:00 – Fencing
At 15:00, the fencing event commenced. Participants engaged in a series of bouts, showcasing their skill and tactical acumen in this intense discipline.

19:00 – Laser Run
The final event for Qualification “B” was the Laser Run at 19:00. This combination of running and shooting tested the athletes’ endurance and accuracy, providing a thrilling conclusion to the day’s competitions.
