The Arab Academy for Science and Technology is honoured to have recently hosted the second AAST-IEP Model United Nations, which was organized by both AAST-IEP staff and students.
The conference provided an exceptional opportunity for students to enhance their social and political awareness by engaging in debates on current global challenges, thereby broadening their understanding of the world.
The conference featured several committees, including:
-the Security Council
-GA1: Disarmament and International Security
-Human Rights Council
-Economic and Social Council
-FIFA
-Commission on the Status of Women
-Arab League
-Joint Economic Crisis Committee: G7,
-Joint Economic Crisis Committee: BRICS
and International Court of Justice.
AAST-IEP MUN was graced by the presence of our aspiring IGCSE students and staff, as well as committees and delegations from various schools.The conference was a great success, and the organizers hope to see everyone again next year.
